Due to the overwhelming majority of prepress files being created on the Macintosh format, we have committed ourselves to maintain the most up-to-date systems available from Apple. Although we do maintain updated PC (windows) machines, we recommend that if you use a PC, (for consistency purposes) that you save your files to a PDF or EPS format for output.
Preferred Document Formats: (latest versions) QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat PDF, Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Freehand. Use of other formats such as DCS2, Tiff/IT, CT/LW, Corel, or Microsoft products, etc. may result in additional cost and or delays, due to editing limitations.

Graphics: EPS or TIFF; 300 dpi for CMYK or grayscale, 1200 dpi for bitmap. All graphics used within a layout need to be included during file transfer.

Fonts: Postscript (in two files for each font) or True Type (one file), Postscript preferred. Please send all fonts used in your layout. Including those within placed artwork. Avoid using “applied” type styles from a tools pallete. Instead use the font list within your application to create the Bold or Italic effect that you desire.

Bleed/Trap: Allow 1/8 bleed on all layouts in which any portion of color extends past the final trim. Allow 1/4 space from trim to any copy in document. All trapping will be set by our Prinergy workflow when we process your files.
