The Cutting Department at Three Z has the ability to handle large volumes of work. They are equipped with top-of-the-line Polar cutting products, along with other specialty tools developed in-house. Running three full-time shifts, the department is fortunate to have a majority of its operators with many years of experience.

Production of a cutting unit varies greatly depending on job specifications.

Taking skids full of press sheets, the cutting personnel trim the sheets down to the final flat size of the finished pieces.

With fifteen Polar 45.25in. cutters, (three of which utilize an auto-rear loading system) all with an attached trim collection system, three Knor auto delivery systems, and other misc. equipment, the cutting department keeps time with the presses.

From here the flat pieces go on to the folding department if needed. Otherwise, they head straight to the skid wrapper.

The Folding Department is mostly equipped with quality MBO and Stahl brand folding equipment. Also running three full-time shifts, all fully staffed, the department is able to meet the needs of the plant. We have the ability to make several types of specialty folds. Please check with your estimator for further specifications.

Folding production varies similar to the cutting department. It depends on job specifications

Here we take skids full of trimmed pieces, from the cutting department, and fold them down to the customers specifications.

Seventeen MBO and Stahl Continuous Folders head the folding department, along with various stackers, counters, and packaging machines, we are equipped for practically any workload that comes our way.

From here the folded pieces go on to the skid wrapper, for final packaging

Skid Wrapping at Three Z is done by 2 Fully Automatic Inline Banding/Wrapping Systems. Practically every item we ship goes through this system. They make an exceptional tightly wrapped package, with less chance of having shipping damage.

Depending on production needs, we can wrap up to 600 skids per day

From this point, the packaged skids are stacked in racks until it's time for them to ship out.
